60 km von Rethymnon entfernt (bei Sfakion), im südwesten der Insel befindet sich die venezianischen Festung aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Sie ist eine der ältesten dieser Art auf der Insel und hat einen unheimlichen Ruf.

Die im Kampf gegen die Türken Gefallenen sollen angeblich noch heute in dieser Kastelruine spuken.

Frankokastello

60 km from Rethymnon (near Sfakion), in the southwest of the island one will find the venecian fortress from that 14. Century. It is one the oldest this kind on the island and has an uncanny call.
