There are two ways of travelling to Crete.

1. By air : Arriving in Iraklion (Chania is also possible but further away)

Directions: from Iraklion to Mires

2. By ferry : Daily from Ancona (or Bari) to Patras. From there you follow the highway to Pireas ( this takes about 2 hours - tollcosts are about 6 Euro). From Pireas you take the ferry again, it operates daily to either Iraklion or Chania.
