Agia Triada

Agia Triada liegt ca. 4 km westlich von Phaistos.

Der kleine Palast diente als Sommerwohnsitz für den König von Phaistos. Er wurde ca. 1600 v. Chr. erbaut.

Einige der wichtigsten Funde der minoischen Periode stammen von hier und sind heute im Archäologischen Museum von Heraklion zu besichtigen. Unter anderem stammt von hier der berühmte Sarkophag von Agia Triada.

Agia Triada is approx 4km west of Phaistos

This small palace served as the summer residence of the King of Phaistos. It was built in approx 1600B.C. and is the site of some of the most important findings of the Minoan period such as the famous sarcophagus of Agai Triada, these pieces can now be seen in the Archaeological Museum of Iraklion.
