Born in Denmark and raised in Italy, Linda Crast is an artist based in Sivas.
After artistic studies in Turin and different work experiences with old buildings and restoration of churches, circumstances brought her to Crete in 1999.

Linda Crast

Here, she raised her family and turned her hobby into a job.
Making murals, mosaics, and signs has been her principal occupation for many years. Lately, she spends more time at her atelier in Sivas, painting canvases.
She has held several exhibitions in Kamilari, Sivas, Pitsidia, and Paleochora and is the ideator of the Matala Street Painting.

Her style is bold and colorful, can be realistic but also abstract- definitely polyhedral.

These are some of her paintings, but it’s definitely worth stopping by at her atelier in Sivas, South Crete. You can find more of her artwork and contact details on her website:

During your holiday in the south of Crete, you will also encounter Linda’s artwork in the form of street paintings, shop signs, and interior wall paintings! Probably no one else has visually shaped the area of the Messara as much as she has and so you can visit her art in Matala, on the beach of Komos, in Kalamaki, and many places more.
