In the Raftis Restaurant and wine bar you will taste the very best of traditional Cretan cuisine. Only fresh, organic farm produce is used in the menu and the preparation is done entirely in the farm kitchens. Seasoned with local herbs, they prepare sweets with natural materials such as honey. The only fat in the diet is the excellent Cretan olive oil, consumed without processing, that adds a healthy nutritional value together with excellent wine which is an essential accompaniment to a meal.
More and more people visit Pitsidia just for the Raftis Restaurant and its delicious cuisine! Apart of the beach, or perhaps the ancient ruins, there are another methods of getting to know…
The building formerly housed a tailor shop, as the name “Raftis” (tailor) suggests, and was converted into a restaurant a few years ago by Manolis and Gregory. In addition to the kitchen, there is a large room within the building, that is less used as a dining room, but more for art exhibitions of all kinds.
The 10 tables of different size are well arranged in the yard and so even on well-attended days, you will be having a little privacy. The courtyard, the trees, and the subtle lighting create a wonderful atmosphere to spend the evening with your partner, friends, and family.
