The Red Castle Taverna is situated right next to the port of Kokkinos Pirgos and dirctly at the beach. You can enjoy the traditional food and look at the sea or have a swim, and relax under the umbrellas.
This is the only taverna in Kokkinos Pyrgos without a road between the building and the beach. There are offered a variety of fresh seafood (ask for the daily fresh fish), stews, and dishes. You find traditional Cretan cuisine and even organic wine.
