With the Green Kukunari, Ziza Tomic opened up a new kind of gastronomy in our region where in addition to breakfast & lunch, you can join various workshops around healthy, nutritional, and vegan cooking.
Green Kukunari is a beautiful vegan restaurant that opened a few years ago in Pitsidia, Southern Crete. It is run by Ziza, who created all the dishes herself and attaches great importance to healthy food that also tastes fantastic!
Word spread quickly in vegan circles, so Green Kukunari has quickly become one of the most popular vegan restaurants in Greece, attracting visitors from all over the world. And rightly so – everything here is so special and delicious that you can’t help but try the whole menu.
Whether it’s SCRAMBLED TOFU with HOMEMADE MULTIGRAIN BREAD for breakfast or KUKUNARI BURGER, LENTIL BALLS or CURRY for dinner. And for dessert a gluten-free brownie… try it yourself, it’s incredible!
The food is excellent and therefore needs no more words. It needs to be experienced.

But food isn’t all that Ziza offers at Green Kukunari! She has created a place where there are seminars about healthy living, such as cooking classes (also for children), modern macrobiotic cooking, and small concerts.
In the evening, good wines are offered with small appetizers.
You can buy local products in the organic shop and the second floor hosts a small boutique with an art gallery.
